Cookiepolicy.
What we store on your device, why, and how you can change your mind.
SearchTurbo uses cookies and similar storage technologies (localStorage) to operate this website and, with your consent, to measure performance and serve demand-partner advertising. This Policy explains what each cookie does, how long it lives, and how you can withdraw consent.
1. Categories
We group cookies into three categories that you can configure in our consent banner:
- Strictly necessary. Required for basic site function (e.g. remembering your cookie choice). Always active, no opt-out.
- Analytics. Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Data is processed in aggregated, anonymized form. Opt-in.
- Marketing & demand-partner tracking. Allow our demand partners to measure click-through and conversion across surfaces, including retargeting, frequency capping, and CPC attribution. Opt-in.
2. First-party cookies
| Name | Category | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
searchturbo_consent |
Strictly necessary | Stores your consent choices (necessary, analytics, marketing) and timestamp | 12 months |
searchturbo_consent (localStorage mirror) |
Strictly necessary | Fallback for the consent cookie when third-party cookies are blocked | Until cleared by you |
st_session |
Strictly necessary | Pseudonymized auction-session token, scoped to the active browser session | Session (browser close) |
3. Third-party cookies
When you enable the Marketing category, our demand partners may set their own cookies via the auction flow. We include the full set here for transparency:
| Provider | Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
NID, __Secure-3PSID | Search foundation, ad personalization (where opted-in via Google account) | up to 13 months | |
| Microsoft Bing | MUID, _uetsid | Search foundation, UET conversion measurement | up to 13 months |
| eBay | ebay, npii | Click attribution, post-click conversion | up to 90 days |
| Amazon | ad-id, ad-privacy | Affiliate click attribution | up to 13 months |
| Magnite / OpenX / Smaato | Various SSP IDs | Auction routing, frequency capping | up to 12 months |
| Taboola / AdMarketplace | Vendor-specific | Content recommendation and click measurement | up to 12 months |
The exact cookies present depend on which demand partners win the auction during your session. None of the third-party cookies are set unless you opt into the Marketing category.

5. How to change your choice
You can re-open the consent banner at any time and change which categories are enabled:
You can also clear the searchturbo_consent cookie and localStorage entry via your browser to fully reset our memory of your preferences. The banner will then re-appear on your next visit.
6. Browser-specific instructions
